A gentle celebration of childlike fearlessness — and the radical trust that blooms when we remember we cannot truly fail.
Artist’s Reflection
Do you remember that luminous time when you were small and the world felt infinitely possible? When asking for what you needed felt as natural as breathing, when dreams weren't measured against probability, when your heart led and your mind simply followed?
That untamed joy, that fearless curiosity — it lives in the brushstrokes of this piece.
I carried a question into the studio that day like a prayer:
What if I knew I couldn't fail?
Not because failure doesn't exist, but because perhaps what we call failure is simply life teaching us to dance differently.
From this place of radical trust, I watched how my choices shifted — how I moved through my work, how I reached toward others, how I dared to want what I actually wanted instead of what felt safe.
The most beautiful surprise?
When we stop negotiating with fear, we find ourselves standing at the threshold of our deepest desires. This painting is that threshold made visible — an invitation to bypass the calculating mind and trust the wisdom that has been waiting patiently in our hearts all along.

Roxanne Franz is a Lisbon-based multidisciplinary artist with a background in somatic therapy, creative writing, and mental health education. Her work blends intuitive abstraction with inner process, drawing from emotional memory, spiritual depth, and the body’s intelligence. After years of writing and teaching on trauma, emotions, and authenticity, painting became her unfiltered language — a way to speak what words could not reach. Her series “Conversations with the Unknown” invites viewers into subtle, in-between realms of identity, healing, and soul connection.
